Police arrest suspect wanted after morning crime spree

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A suspect wanted for a series of crimes was taken into custody Tuesday morning after a rampage of incidents.

Just after 11 a.m., police were first called out to a stolen auto call near 11th and Hardesty.

When officers spotted the stolen car at a nearby convenience store, they attempted to pull it over, but the suspect rammed a patrol vehicle. The officer was uninjured.

The suspect took off with police in pursuit, where they was involved in a crash with civilian car near 39th Street and 71 Highway. The suspect continued despite the crash. The civilian was uninjured.

It wasn’t until the chase got to 43rd and Highland that the suspect ditched the stolen car.

After a brief search, police took the suspect into custody at a residence.
