MERRIAM, Kan. -- Officers found a man's body in the grass between the street and sidewalk as they responded to a shooting call in Merriam.
Police cruisers blocked off the 6800 block of Mastin Drive to investigate the fatal shooting.
The most recent homicide in Merriam was back in 2014, police said.
