Police are investigating the death of a baby at a south Kansas City apartment Sunday morning.
Officers were called to the 14400 block of south 71 Highway just before 7 a.m. about a possible dead infant. The baby was transported to an area hospital, but was declared deceased upon arrival.
Police are working to determine the possible cause, but shortly after 8 a.m. authorities say the initial investigation indicates the death may be natural.
The age and sex of the baby has not yet been released.
