KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police in Kansas City were called out to investigate the city’s 42nd homicide of the year Friday night.
Around 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a reported shooting near 35th Street and Olive Avenue.
They arrived and located a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim, later identified as 27-year-old Maurice Jennings, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not released any suspect information.
