Police looking for man who robbed a Lee's Summit bank

Police are looking for a suspect who robbed the Bank of the West in Lee’s Summit at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

The suspect entered the bank at 700 NE M-291 Highway and showed a weapon while making a demand for money. The suspect departed the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and left on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s. He is approximately 6’2 -6’3 and wearing a black stocking cap, grey shirt, long dark pants and gloves. His face was covered during the robbery.

There were no reported injuries.
