UPDATE 5/10: 12 year-old Casia Star and 11-year-old Martiniece Whitley have been found safe.
According to their mother, the girls were found near 44th and Agnes around noon Wednesday.
ORIGINAL: Officials are asking for help looking for two missing children from Kansas City, Missouri.
According to a release from KCMO police, 12-year-old Casia U. Star and 11-year-old Martiniece C. Whitley have been missing since 4:20 p.m. Tuesday. Police believe the girls ran away from home.
Casia was last seen wearing shorts, a t-shirt and carrying a backpack.
Martiniece was last seen wearing a pink jacket with the word "love" in white lettering and also carrying a backpack.
