Police pursuit crosses state lines; no injuries

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A police pursuit ensued Saturday night after an individual shot at an undercover police car in Kansas City, Kansas.

KCKPD said that the incident began around 5:40 p.m in the 1200 block of Metropolitan Avenue with a shots fired call. When officers arrived, they found suspects shooting at each other, KCKPD says one suspect shot at officers, hitting their vehicle, and that's when the pursuit was initiated.

The chase crossed state lines and Kansas City, Missouri, police stopped the vehicle in the 900 block of Winner Road.

Officers searched the area of Interstate 70 and Brooklyn Avenue for "possible evidence that was thrown out of the vehicle," according to KCPD.

There were no injuries, according to KCKPD.
