Police say gun used in video threatening Hickman Mills student was BB gun

UPDATE 4:50 PM 4/26/2017: Police believe the gun visible in the Facebook Live video where four suspects allegedly threatened a Hickman Mills High School student was a BB gun.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Four juveniles are in custody after they threatened to shoot Hickman Mills Freshman Center on Tuesday afternoon. 

At least one of the suspects was streaming the threat on Facebook Live and at least one of them had a gun, Kansas City, Missouri police said. At least one of the suspects is a student at the Hickman Mill Freshmen Center, according to a Hickman Mills School District spokesperson.

Hickman Mills and Dobbs Elementary school were placed on lockdown after the incident and both of those have been lifted. There is currently a large police presence in the area.
