Update, Feb. 25 | Early Tuesday morning, Kansas City, Missouri police sent information saying that Laji Stephens was located and is safe.
Original story, Feb. 24 | Kansas City, Missouri, police are searching for a missing 12-year-old Kansas City girl.
Laji Stephens was last seen at 4:22 p.m. Monday getting off a school bus near East 70th Street and Olive Avenue in Kansas City.
She wore a purple coat, blue jeans, brown boots and carried a panda backpack, according to police.
Laji is black, 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 85 pounds.
She has black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about Laji Stephens should call 911.
