KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A $5,000 reward is being offered to anyone who knows who cut fiber optic cable lines near Northwest Englewood Road and Northwest Waukomis Drive on Jan. 19.

The damage to the lines happened 90 minutes before the start of the Kansas City Chiefs AFC Championship game against the Tennessee Titans, around 12:50 p.m.

The damage caused a television outage in that area of the Northland.

Surveillance photos show two people come out of the woods and stand behind a tractor parked in the area where the lines were cut.

One person wore a white shirt, green jacked or vest, jeans, a backpack and a white hat.

The second person was wearing a white shirt, brown pants and a backpack.

Anyone who knows any details about the damaged lines should call the Tips Hotline at 816-474-8477 or report the information online.
