KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A person cleaning up a property in Pleasant Hill, Missouri, on Tuesday found possible human remains, according to police.

The person was cleaning a shed behind a home in the 400 block of North Independence Street and found what they believed to be human remains, police said in a news release.

Officers responded to the property and observed the remains, concluding they “could possibly be human,” police said.

The Jackson County Medical Examiner’s Office will examine the remains.
