With rain hitting the metro Friday, Rockfest is preparing if it affects their plans to party.
In years past, Rockfest has turned into a muddy mess, destroying parts of Penn Valley Park. Unless there is addition rain this weekend, something the forecast does not call for, the party should rock on as planned.
“It’s pretty dry right now, so unless we have, you know, an inch of rain tonight, I don’t think we are going to have any sort of problems, it looks like the thunderstorms should be pretty fast moving, so I think if anything, the rain is just going to help,” said Bob Edwards from 98.9 The Rock.
Edwards says if there is any damage to the park from Rockfest, they would have to pay the city back.
