Shortly after 5:00 Sunday morning, a quick burst of precipitation on the south side of the metro put emergency crews into action.
Numerous accidents were reported on both sides of the state line.
A rollover was reported at I-435 & 71 highway in south Kansas City.

Two rollovers were reported shortly after 6:00 a.m., one at I-35 NB and Edgerton Road, where the driver was reported trapped for a time, but no serious injuries were reported.
