KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Raytown police said one person is in custody after a police chase and crash Tuesday night.
A spokesperson for the Raytown Police Department said officers spotted a stolen pickup truck around 9:30 p.m.
The driver got on southbound Interstate 435 and got stuck in the construction zone.
The driver — identified Wednesday as Ryan Templeton, 38, of Lee's Summit — tried to squeeze by cars stopped in the bottleneck of traffic, police said.
Five cars were damaged in the attempt to squeeze by before Templeton got stuck and was arrested.
No one was injured.
Templeton has been charged with tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest by fleeing in Jackson County court. His bond was set at $10,000.
