KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A ground source leak and stifling heat led the Raytown School District to cancel Tuesday classes at one elementary school.
The Smart Start Summer School classes at Westridge Elementary School, 8500 East 77th Street, in Kansas City, Missouri, will not be held.
A message posted Monday night on the district's website stated that a major leak in the ground source knocked out the school's air conditioning system.
The district said they hope to resume classes on Wednesday.
