KANSAS CITY, Mo. — New renderings from the Kansas City Aviation Department show what the new parking garage at the single-terminal Kansas City International Airport will look like.

The renderings were released in conjunction with the city department’s Build KCI project partners, led by Edgemoor.

The new parking structure will be a 6,300-space parking facility adjacent to the new terminal, providing more capacity and convenience than the current parking garages at the horseshoe terminals.

Local contractor JE Dunn will build the parking garage under Clark Weitz Clarkson, which is the project’s design-builder.

Clark Weitz Clarkson is a joint venture of Bethesda, Maryland-based Clark Construction, the Des Moines, Iowa-based Weitz Company and the Kansas City-based Clarkson Construction Company.

BNIM, which started in Kansas City in 1970, is the architectural firm for the parking garage, according to Build KCI.
