KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A child on a school bus spotted a dead man in a ditch Wednesday afternoon in Richmond, Missouri.
The bus was taking children home from school when the child spotted the body near Missouri 13 and Crispin Street. The child then called her mother, who called police.
Richmond Chief of Police Chad Burnine said the man appeared to be in his 20s or early 30s. No signs of foul play were found at the scene.
The cause of death is not known. An autopsy will be done on Thursday.
The highway was closed in both directions for a few hours so police could investigate.
