KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Customers who use the RideKC transportation service will now get to use a new transit center beginning Aug. 2.

The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority announced the new transit center located on East 12th Street and Charlotte Street will include services like WiFi, bike racks and RideKC bike rentals.

“These improvements will allow workers and other residents to get to essential services,” KCATA president Robbie Makinen said.

The new location is bigger and has more space than the old location on 10th Street and Main Street.

Several weekday routes will be restored to RideKC as part of its "Ride KC Service Restoration plan.”

A full list of the RideKC routes can be found on their website.

To protect customers during the COVID-19 pandemic, “RideKC has taken several steps to ensure the safety of our customers and operators, including suspending fares, and requiring masks, social distancing and rear boarding," Makinen said.
