UPDATE: Jan 25, 7:30 a.m: The semi was removed from the area at 7:30 a.m., and the ramp was re-opened.
A semi slide-off the roadway from Interstate 470 northbound to Interstate 70 westbound in Independence just before 4:30 a.m. Saturday.
The semi remained upright, and no injuries were reported.
Once a tow truck arrived on scene, officials closed the ramp to Interstate 470 northbound to Interstate 70 westbound in an effort to pull the semi back onto the roadway.
The incident did not cause a major traffic tie-up.
