September 13 is National Grandparents’ Day!

Grandparents can play an important role in children’s lives.

Grandfamilies |

Grandfamilies are headed by grandparents and other relatives who share their homes with their grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and/or other related children.

According to Generations United, research shows about 7.8 million children across the country live in households headed by grandparents or other relatives and about 2.7 million grandparents report they are responsible for their grandchildren’s needs. In about a third of these homes, neither of the children’s parents are in the home.

People are using #GrandparentsDay, #DoSomethingGrand to show their loved ones appreciation on social media.
