KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Several students are under medical evaluation and a woman is in serious condition after a car and a school bus were involved in a crash Monday afternoon in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just before 4 p.m., first responders were dispatched to the crash near E. 52nd Street and Woodland Avenue.
Police tell 41 Action News that a female driver of the passenger car t-boned into the side of the bus.
While the school bus did not appear to have significant damage, the engine compartment and front windshield of the passenger car suffered heavy damage.
The driver of the passenger car was listed in serious condition. Several students were injured, but their injuries were described as not life-threatening.
A total of two adults and 16 elementary-age students from Allen Village school were on the bus.
