Severe thunderstorm warning until 6:30 a.m.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — UPDATE: 6:30 a.m. | The National Weather Service has canceled the severe thunderstorm warning for Pettis County, Missouri.

EARLIER | The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Pettis County, Missouri, until 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

According to the NWS, there is the potential for up to 60 mph wind gusts.

KSHB 41's Lauren Rainson says storms are moving east at 35 mph.
