Kansas City, Kansas police said shots were fired after a high-speed chase Friday night.
Kansas City, Missouri police said just before 9 p.m. officers chased carjacking suspects in Kansas City, Kansas. The driver and two other people in a vehicle fled from police, reaching speeds near 100 miles per hour.
The chase went into KCK on I-70. The suspect vehicle exited the highway onto Central Avenue.

KCK police said the chase ended near 8th and Reynolds. KCMO police said one man ran from the car and began firing shots at officers. Officers returned fire. No one was hit.
Three people were taken into custody, including the man who shot at police.
