ORIGINAL STORY | Lee's Summit police need your help finding a missing elderly man believed to be in danger.

A Silver Advisory t is in effect for 83-year-old Jerry T. Johnson, last seen at 8 p.m. on July 30 on Northwest High Point Drive.

He's described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 200 pounds with gray hair, hazel eyes and wearing a long-sleeved brown and green flannel shirt, tan shorts and brown loafers.

He is diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer's, requires daily blood pressure medication and takes other neurological medications.

Johnson is believed to be in a dark gray Jeep Wrangler with Missouri plates XB1X9M, possibly headed for Joplin, Missouri.

Anyone with any information or who has seen Johnson or the vehicle should immediately dial 911 or call the Lee’s Summit Police Department at 816-200-3854.
