UPDATE | In a release late Tuesday night, Olathe police said that Watterson was located safe and they thanked everyone for their help in that process.
PREVIOUS | A Silver Alert was issued Tuesday night for a missing Olathe man.
Fredrick Watterson, 76, was last seen Tuesday afternoon in the 14400 block of South Shady Bend Road, according to an Olathe Police Department news release.
Police said Watterson was driving a 2015 four-door, black KIA Soul with Washington state license plate number AWA7136.
Watterson is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 240 pounds, police said.
He has gray hair, a gray beard and blue eyes.
He wore brown sweater, khaki pants and glasses.
Watterson has dementia.
Anyone with information about Watterson should call 911.
