KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Riley County, Kansas Sheriff’s Department says two pedestrians died early Friday morning after being struck by a snow plow.
Deputies said the incident was reported around 5 a.m. in the 4000 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard in Manhattan, Kansas.
The two pedestrians were struck by a Riley County plow truck.
“The accident is a tremendous tragedy for all those personally involved and our community as a whole,” Marvin Rodriguez, Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners said in a release. “Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to all involved in the accident.”
The Kansas Highway Patrol has assumed investigation of the incident.
