KANSAS CITY, Mo. — On Christmas morning, many people have watched "Sounds of the Holiday" on 41 Action News.
For the last ten years, the show has shared the joy of the holidays through song with local high school choirs.
Lansing High School choir director Brian J. White has conducted a choir in every production of "Sounds of the Holiday."
"I enjoy it and the students enjoy it. As an educator, it's a thrill to be able to showcase your classroom and be like, 'Hey, we do have great things going on a daily basis,'" White said.
"We don't just whip this together the day before. We've been working on this for several weeks, since mid-October and students love it. Who doesn't love Christmas? And to be able to showcase their talents to the general public is great," White added.
This year, "Sounds of the Holiday" is celebrating with a look back. It features past moments with our anchors as well as new music.
"Sounds of the Holiday" airs 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Christmas Day on KSHB.
You can also watch it at 6:00 a.m. Christmas morning on KMCI and Saturday, December 28 at 5:00 p.m., also on KMCI.
