OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The Chiefs victory Monday night dominated sports talk radio Tuesday morning.

At the 810 WHB studios, Steven St. John, co-host of the Border Patrol show, admitted Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes stole the show with an "amazing" performance.

Mahomes led the Chiefs to a fourth-quarter comeback to beat the Broncos in Denver. It was the fourth straight win for the Chiefs, who have started the season undefeated.

St. John said Mahomes electrified the city. He pointed out that even though a good start may seem familiar to Chiefs fans, there is something different about the team this season.

“The Chiefs were 4 and 0 last year, but this is a different feel. For lifelong Chiefs fans like me, we have been waiting for a franchise quarterback literally our whole lives. Finally, it feels like this is the guy and he is going to be the guy for a long time in Kansas City,” St. John said.

When asked if fans are putting too much pressure on Mahomes, St. John said the way the quarterback played Monday night proves that nothing rattles him.
