KANSAS CITY – There were multiple water main breaks throughout Kansas City on Friday.
STATE LINE ROAD AT 97TH STREET
Officials expect State Line Road just north of I-435 to be closed for at least the next 12 hours after a 12-inch water main break. The closure is between 97th Street and 99th Street.
The water main is under the street, and pictures from the scene show State Line buckling and water seeping from cracks.
The closure is expected to impact rush hour traffic. Avoiding the area is advised.
Eight customers are without water.
A KCMO Water spokesperson said there was a 6-inch water main break at 3240 Broadway. Four customers are without water.
