KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police shut down the southeast corner of the downtown loop Saturday night after someone committed suicide by jumping from the Grand Boulevard bridge onto Interstate 670, according to the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department.
KCPD confirmed that an individual died after jumping from the overpass shortly after 8:30 p.m.
Police shut down Interstate 70 at The Paseo, routing traffic to the north part of the downtown loop, and also shut down the northbound and southbound ramps onto I-70/670 in order to safely investigate the incident.
