Police arrested a suspect after an hours-long standoff at a Kansas City home Wednesday night after learning they had warrants out for their arrest.
Just before 5 p.m., officers went to investigate an armed person barricaded in a home near 7700 NE 53rd Street. The standoff and negotiation process took hours, and police eventually learned the suspect had warrants out for their arrest and could possibly be armed.
The suspect surrendered around 9:30 p.m., well over four hours after police arrived on scene.
Police arrested the suspect on the outstanding warrants, as well as in connection to a number of stolen vehicle and burglary investigations.
Authorities did not immediately identify the suspect.
