KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Taps at the Tower at the National WWI Museum and Memorial begins on Sunday, but with a new addition.
At sunset, Taps will be played to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation.
New to this year's event, the museum also will pay tribute to Kansas City’s essential workers and thank them for their service during the coronavirus pandemic.
Since 2014, more than 15,000 have visited the museum to see Taps performed.
The event is free and open to the public. It runs until Saturday.
