Tasty Snacks to Make for a Chiefs Watch Party

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City Chiefs in New England to take on the Patriots for the most anticipated game in the NFL this week. Tailgating at Arrowhead might not be on the agenda, but hosting some people to watch the game might. Here's Hyvee's simple snacks that will keep them fueled to watch that away game.

Beef and Shrimp KaBobs (makes 4)

16 oz. Beef Ribeye Steak diced into 1 inch cubes

12 (26-30 count) pre-cooked, shelled gulf shrimp

1 medium yellow onion, large diced

8 button, mushrooms

1 large red bell pepper, seeded and cut into 1” pieces

1 large yellow bell pepper, seeded and cut into 1” pieces

4 grape tomatoes

Salt and pepper to taste

Pan spray

Hy-Vee Steak sauce

  • On a metal skewer start placing the following: piece of steak, onion, steak, red pepper, steak, onion, green bell pepper
  • Lightly spray with pan spray, Season well,
  • Place on high heat grill turning every 2 minutes, until nearly cooked
  • Remove from the grill and then add 3 cooked shrimp on each skewer, followed by a grape tomato
  • Cook an additional 3 minutes
  • Remove from heat and brush entire kabob with Hy-Vee steak sauce with silicon brush

 

 

Grilled Chicken Buffalo Dip

8 oz. chicken breasts, boneless, skinless

2 tsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic sat 1 tsp lemon pepper

16 oz. cream cheese

½ cup Franks Buffalo Hot Sauce

2 TB Sriracha sauce

1 cup ranch dressing, Hidden Valley

2 cups, mild shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup half and half

  • Rub chicken breast with oil, garlic  salt
  • Grill over medium high grilled, cool and dice into small diced pieces
  • In a sauce pan add cream cheese, hot sauce, Sriracha, ranch dressing, cheddar cheese, half and half, and heat until thoroughly combined, add cooked chicken and serve

 

 

“S’more Bread Pudding” (serves 6)

8 slices day old bread, cut into cubes

2 cups granola, broken pieces

3 TB melted butter

6 eggs, slightly beaten

2 cups whole milk

¾ cup granulated sugar

1 tsp sugar

½ tsp nutmeg

1 tsp pure vanilla

½ cup either semi sweet or bitter sweet chocolate chips

½ cup mini marshmallow

  • Toss  bread in bowl and toss with melted butter
  • In the pan that the bread pudding will be cooked in combine add ingredients except for the marshmallows
  • After bread is completely moist and well combined add the marshmallows to the top and bake for approximately 45 minutes at 350 degrees or on the grill (lid must be closed to maintain a high enough temperature to bake the bread pudding)
