Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced the charges on Saturday.

Williams was killed late Friday morning.

Testimony from three witnesses were key in making the charges happen

In a common theme to this week, prosecutors say witnesses were important in leading to an arrest.

One witness told police she saw a grey vehicle crash into a parked vehicle.

After the crash, Williams and another male fought. Williams attempted to run away from the scene, when the second man fired a gun four or five times, the witness told police.

A second witness was in his apartment when he heard the gunshots.

A third witness said he saw someone throw items into a nearby row of bushes. Later on Friday, a Kansas City Police Department K-9 discovered a black handgun.

What's next?

Prosecutors have requested a bond of $350,000.
