A 17-year-old was killed in a single car crash at 162nd and Plattsburg Road outside Kearney, Mo. Friday night.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says Jack A. Wolters of Kearney was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram on Plattsburg Road north of 162nd just before 11:00 p.m. when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and hit a road sign and tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of the crash has not been released, and an investigation is underway.
