PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. - A teen from Platte City died in a single vehicle crash on N. Highway late Saturday night.
The Platte County Sheriff's office says about 11:40 p.m. Luke, Hogue, 17, was traveling northbound on N Highway when his vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree.
Hogue was the only person in the vehicle at the time.
It's believed the vehicle was speeding at the time of the crash.
Alcohol is not believed to be involved.
The Platte County Sheriff's Office Crash Team is conducting an investigation.
