KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Police say a 16-year-old boy is in serious condition after he was struck by a car while riding his skateboard Sunday night.
Police say a white Buick Century was traveling south on Prairie View Road when it hit the teen on the skateboard just before 10:15 p.m.
The 16-year-old was riding his skateboard with another friend, south on Prairie View Road in the southbound lane of travel.
The teen was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Buick was not injured.
