Teen killed in early morning homicide in KCK

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A teen is dead after Kansas City, Kansas, police say he was hit by gunfire while driving his car.

Police responded to 10th and Lyons just after 6 a.m. on Sunday on an injury accident.

When they arrived, they discovered the victim's vehicle had collided with a parked vehicle. The teenage driver was dead of apparent gunshot wounds. Police say initial investigations indicate the teen was driving south on 10th street when his vehicle was struck by gunfire, killing him and causing the vehicle to hit a parked car.

There were no other injuries reported.

There are no suspects in custody and no suspect information.
