KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Staff at the Lee’s Summit Park and Recreation Department say several incidents at a teen night Monday at Summit Waves waterpark may put the future of the event in doubt.
In a Facebook post Tuesday afternoon, Parks and Rec officials say several people jumped a fence into the park without paying. Another group showed disrespectful behavior and made rude comments to staff and law enforcement at the park.
Later in the evening, park security spotted a fight in the parking lot outside of the facility.
The Lee’s Summit Police Department is working with the waterpark in the investigation.
Parks and Rec officials say they are evaluating the future of the event.
