KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A teenage girl suffered serious injuries Wednesday night when hit by a jeep while out trick or treating.
The incident happened just before 6 p.m. at Northeast 42nd Street and North Brighton Avenue in Kansas City, Mo.
Police said the 16-year-old girl, along with a 20-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were crossing Northeast 42nd Street when the accident occurred.
The two males ran across the intersection, but the girl hesitated, police said.
She started to run again and was hit by a jeep.
There are no crosswalks or sidewalks in that neighborhood.
