KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Three people were taken into custody after a two-hour standoff in the 3500 block of Askew early Saturday morning.
Police were called to the area just after midnight in regard to a disturbance.
Upon arrival the victim exited the house saying he was being held against his will inside by three suspects.
He was transported to an area hospital for injuries consistent with being assaulted.
Police set up a perimeter and began to try to negotiate with possible suspects inside.
Approximately 2:00 a.m. three individuals exited the home and were taken into custody.
Detectives are working to obtain a search warrant to search the residence for evidence.
