Three injuries were reported after a KCATA bus and Chevy Malibu were involved in a wreck Tuesday morning.
The wreck happened just before 6 a.m. on Tuesday at 45th and Elmwood Avenue.
According to police, the Malibu ran a stop sign while heading eastbound and crashed into the metro bus. Speed was a factor in the wreck.
Both the car and bus ran onto a nearby yard, striking a parked in the home's driveway.
A student of a nearby school told 41 Action News he heard a "loud boom" when the wreck happened.
Along with the driver of the Malibu, the bus driver and a bus passenger were also injured. The injuries were not considered serious.
Police are still investigating.
