KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Some big expansions at the Ward Parkway Center will include three new restaurants. The Ward Parkway Restaurant Pavilion is the first and only Kansas City-area location for all three restaurants.
Smitty'sSmitty's Garage:
Opening Oct. 9 at 8811 State Line Road, Kansas City, Mo.
Smitty'sSmitty's is described as a fast-casual burger joint. The restaurant specializes in burgers and fresh-cut fries, along with fork-and-knife hotdogs, sandwiches, tacos and more. It's known for its retro, automotive-themed atmosphere. It features a full-service bar, arcade games, and TVs.
MidiCi:
Opening Mid-October at 8815 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO
MidiCi is a California-based pizza chain. It is described as blending fast-casual dining with a high-end experience. Pizza makers invite guests to select their toppings and the pizza bakes for 90 seconds at 900 degrees in a wood-fired oven.
Charleston's:
Opening October 23 at 8817 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO
Charleston's will open its first and only location in Kansas City featuring traditional, American classics. Charleston's menu offers made-from-scratch items with the highest quality ingredients, including burgers and sandwiches, steaks and prime rib, salads, chicken and specialty dishes.
There is a job fair September 30th and October 7th to help hire 150 new workers for the three restaurants. The Ward Parkway Center is looking for prep cooks, line cooks, dishwashers, managers, servers, hosts and bartenders. If you are interested you can go to the job fair from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the carpeted area under the AMC Box Office at Ward Parkway Center.
