Lenexa police are investigating the death of a toddler at an in-home daycare.
Police say that it appears a 16-month-old boy got an unknown piece of clothing snagged on a piece of furniture and the child choked. He was taken from the daycare at about 3 p.m. Friday and taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The coroner's final report has yet to be released.
Lenexa Master Patrol Officer Danny Chavez said the incident appears to be a "tragic accident."
Officials also say the daycare's license is current and there are no reports of issues in the past.
