KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A semi trailer overturned on eastbound U.S. Highway 40 around 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon, slowing traffic in the area.
The truck tipped on the driver's side. There's no word on what it was hauling.
The eastbound lanes of Hwy 40 were closed at the Interstate 70 ramp near Independence. Traffic could still get through westbound.
It's not yet clear what caused the wreck or if anyone was injured.
