You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen but, what about Topsy?

Okay, there is no “Topsy” helping to pull Santa’s sleigh, but there really should be.

This is the season for a taste of Kansas City that goes all over the world: Topsy’s Popcorn!

Topsy’s has been filling the famous tins for nearly 90 years. Owner Bob Ramm has been a part of the popcorn process here for 47 of those years.

Between Halloween and Christmas, this hardworking factory just off Wornall will send a million pounds of popcorn to every state in the union and countries all over the planet.

They work from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. six days a week during the holiday season. They're up early and late rollin’ and tumblin’ caramel, cheese, regular and, Bob’s personal favorite, cinnamon popcorn flavors.

By the way, the Kansas City history of Topsy’s runs deep: The shop on the Country Club Plaza is the longest-running merchant there, having opened in 1929.

So, if you want your holiday to be a little bit corny and a lot Kansas City, get the Topsy Tin -- and make sure to share!
