KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two children were transported to an area hospital after a crash with a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper who was chasing a suspect.
The children reportedly suffered minor injuries. The trooper will go to a hospital for a check later.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said a trooper attempted to stop a Dodge Charger on traffic charges at Interstate 70 and 18th Street. The suspect vehicle fled, and the trooper began a chase.
While pursuing the car with lights and sirens on, the trooper and the vehicle with the children crashed at 29th Street and Minnesota Avenue.
The suspect vehicle got away.
