Two critical after high speed chase

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A man suffered critical injuries after crashing into a police car, then fleeing in a high speed chase before crashing into a pole.

Police were called after a car crashed into a house at 59th & Jackson about 4:00 a.m. Saturday.

While officers were investigating the crash another vehicle driving by crashed into the unoccupied police vehicle.

A short time later the suspect vehicle - a silver Pontiac Grand Prix was spotted and initially pulled over, but then took off at a high rate of speed.

The suspects then crashed into the traffic signal pole at Blue Parkway and Hardesty.

The driver was taken into custody, and the two passengers were transported with critical injuries.
