KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Two women died Wednesday in a traffic crash on northbound I-49 just north of 163rd Street in Belton.
Billie V. Reid, 42, of Adrian, Mo., and Lachanda Barnett, 29, of Kansas City, Mo., were killed in the wreck.
Belton police have released no other information about the wreck, including time of the crash and how many vehicles were involved.
Police shut down the interstate during the investigation, but lanes were reopened in time for Wednesday's rush hour.
