Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash at 50 Highway and Z Highway near Lone Jack Monday morning.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said the crash occurred as a vehicle pulled into the path of a Jeep.
Both the driver and the passenger in the vehicle, a mother and daughter, died. They have been identified as 47-year-old Alicia McGinnis and 8-year-old Kacee McGinnis.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said two people in the Jeep were transported to area hospitals. Their injuries were not life-threatening.
At least one lane of 50 Highway was closed for a time.
